It’s time for the Three Room Studio Saturday Challenge! This week’s theme is Birthday!
I can always use birthday cards for my stash! I like to create a bunch of them to put in the card gift boxes that I like to have on hand for a quick gift for someone when the need arises.
My card for today uses the fabulous “Mom’s Hibiscus” stamp set and the coordinating die. My sentiment comes from the Simple Sentiments stamp set. All of these are from Three Room Studio.
This is a very clean and simple (CAS) card. It is a single layer card and I’ve placed my florals toward the bottom of the card front and fussy cut along the bottom edge of the florals. I added a piece of soft pink cardstock to the inside of the card to soften the starkness of the layout.
I stamped the Hibiscus 3 times by adding masks to the outer flowers and stamping the center flower last. I wanted it to appear to be behind the other two.
I also stamped the flowers in Cotswold Green ink from Maker Forte and used my Copics to add some color to the flowers. I also used the Flamingo Pink to stamp my sentiment.
This cut edge is one of my favorite ways to step up a nice CAS floral card. It adds a special touch to the card and I always love how it looks.
My card is finished off with some Cotswold Green crown jewel gems for some added sparkle!
You can join us for this challenge on the Three Room Studio Blog. One person will be selected from the weekly challenges in March to win a $15 gift certificate to the Three Room Studio store! We would love to have you join us!
Happy Saturday!
