I am finally getting a chance to do 2 things that I’ve been trying to find time to do:
- Create the 17 cards for the 4th challenge for Kendra’s Card Challenge.
- Play with the December Not 2 Shabby card kit I treated myself to!

I love these 5 cards. The paper and ephemera pieces in the Not 2 Shabby card kit are so pretty! I love these cards that I created using this card kit.
One of the mistakes that I made was to use patterned paper that was directional. I modified a couple of the sketches by turning things horizontally or vertically compared to the sketch to accommodate the patterns in the paper.
I recommend sticking to plaids, stripes, polka dots, or florals that don’t have a direction to the patterns.
These are the ones that I didn’t love! I do love the ephemera and sentiments that came in this kit! The kit had 2 paper packs, 2 stamp sets, 2 packages of ephemera, a stencil, lots of embellishments/shaker elements, coupon codes and a piece of candy! I love the kit!

Instructions and details for participating in the challenge:
To enter the Quarterly Card Challenge, download the free PDF file that contains cutting templates for 6 sheets of paper and 16 different card sketches. Create your own cards using the templates and your choice of patterned paper. They can be any color and any theme using any sentiments you’d like but you must use the card sketches for your cards.

This challenge is open to cardmakers worldwide!
Upload pictures of your card creations on social media and use the hashtag #KendrasCardChallenge4 (on Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube) so I can find your entries. For some reason, Pinterest will not allow me to see entries with the hashtag unless they are sent to me as a message, so if Pinterest is the only social media account you have, make sure you do that. One set of 17 cards counts as 1 entry. You can enter up to 3 times per challenge. After the challenge ends (December 31, 2021), I will gather all of the entries and randomly select the three winners using the random name picker from commentpicker.com. I will announce the winners on my YouTube Channel and in the Kendra’s Card Challenges Facebook Group within 2 weeks of the contest end, so make sure you’re a subscriber to my channel and turn on the notifications! Also, be sure to join the Facebook Group! The winners and their contest entries will also be posted to this page.
