This week’s Make The Cards Challenge is a Color Challenge!
This is a lovely combination! I just got a new package of cardstocks that I was trying out from My Colors Cardstock. One of the two packages I got to try was a Rose Chintz color. I will link these papers below. They are gorgeous solid core colors of nice heavy weight cardstock.
I loved the card sketch we used last week so much that I mimicked it here.
I’ve used some new products in my stash from Trinity Stamps. I have the First Bloom stamp set and the Mini Slimline Modern Embossed Panels and Windows die set. I also used some of their embellishment gems in a pretty soft yellow color.
I did add a green here which is not part of the challenge. I just couldn’t bring myself to color in those leaves in a neutral color. I felt like the green was really needed for my design.
I used some great cardstock colors here that work for the challenge. I added them as stripes on the card front panel. The top stripe is the rose chintz that I purchased to test out. I wanted to try these papers before recommending them.
They are really nice papers from My Colors Cardstock.
I stuck to the color challenge for all but the leaves! I did try to use a nice yellow green! You can see that I also added some white gel pen to brighten the images a touch.
I have a video to share with you:
