This week’s Make The Cards Challenge is a color challenge!!

Make the Cards Color Challenge

I have to say, I saw this as green, blue and orange on my laptop.  Looking at it now, it looks like green, blue, and red.  I used a deep orange for my card!

I used the Bloomfully: Thankful stamp set from STAMPlorations and watercolored the image using Catherine Pooler inks.  I used mandarin spice, eucalyptus, cove blue, and midnight inks.

I got one set of the new Altenew watercolor brushes and I love them.  They are a bit stiffer than the original paint brush I splurged on that comes so highly recommended by everyone.  That one was very soft and it made me realize that I like a firmer brush.  I have a heavy hand when I write, color, and paint.

I took my time watercoloring this and did it layer by layer.  I allowed each layer to dry before adding the next layer to get some deeper shades in different places.

I really like these Bloomfully stamp sets from STAMPlorations.  They have one fabulous floral image and lots of sentiments that you can build your own sentiment that is just right for the person you are sending it to.  There is always one big script word and lots of secondary sentiments that work with it.

Shery Russ has an entire series of these Bloomfully stamp sets and I have made a lot of different cards out of the 3 sets that I have.

Plus they are small stamp sets so the price point is great.
