Do you prefer foam ink pads over felt ones? I definitely do. Ever since Stampin’ Up! came out with the foam ink pads in the 2010’s, I have never looked back.
They stamp nicer than foam pads. It’s also easier to ink up a stamp using the foam pads. The felt pads tend to dip in the middle over time and it’s work to get larger stamps inked up.
This is so simple to do! Purchase a Stampin’ Up! White ink pad and a Memento Tuxedo Black ink refill. When you purchase the White ink pad, they come un-inked white a white craft ink re-inker.
The white re-inker can be used to create white splatter on your darker projects, so that won’t go to waste.
I use about half of the Memento ink refill to cover the foam pad. I also used an old palette knife to smooth it out and to push the ink down into the pad. You can use a plastic spoon or knife, or even an old gift card.

So simple!
I struggle less to ink up an entire stamp now. The ink pad is larger than the original Memento pad and I truly prefer foam ink pads to felt ones. (That is really a personal decision of course. There are lots of people who prefer the old felt style pads.)
