Quick and Easy Technique To Add Foil To Your Cards

By | 09/30/2020

The Paper Craft Crew sketch for this week inspired me to add a foiling detail to my card.

I’ve had foil in my stash for a couple of years and haven’t played with it in a while.  I decided to keep it simple and use it on my card for today!

Easy foil technique to add sparkle to your cards

I aspire to make clean and simple cards and I think I did that today!

Adding that sparkly orange foil was so simple.  I used double sided tape and placed the foil on tip.  I ran it through my laminator and pulled off the excess foil to reveal a beautifully foiled stripe of orange sparkle!  So simple!!

I love this Pretty in Peony stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs.  I really enjoyed watercoloring it a couple of weeks ago on a mixed media project. Today, I colored it in with Copic Markers:

I chose my colors today from the MFT Stamps Color Challenge:

I don’t actually have the MFT inks in these colors.  I have a few of the inks, but not these.  I attempted to match them with things in my stash just for the fun of playing along with the challenge.  It’s fun to try a combination you wouldn’t have put together yourself!

Here is a video that I created to show you how to add the foil:
