Quick Fix For A Defective Stamp: Layering Christmas Tree Cards

By | 12/09/2021

I have the Layering Christmas Tree stamp set from Scrappy Tails Crafts.  It is a discounted stamp set because it has a defect.  One of the ornaments on two of the 4 layers of the set is misaligned.  The mold was clearly not created properly.

But…this is a really easy fix for a savvy crafter and you can save a few bucks because of it!  You can see the defect and my fix on my video below!!

I really enjoyed playing with this set. It has 4 layers to complete the tree and the ornaments and ribbon.  I did several color combinations and just had fun playing!!

I used my Altenew ink cubes because they come in sets of 4 inks designed to blend perfectly together.  Here I have used Grassy Fields, Mountain Pine, Burnt Red, and Hero Arts Unicorn White.  The star is created from Buttercream and Warm Sunshine.

This is Razzleberry and Pinkalicious for the tree.  I used Midnight Violet for the ribbon with Delicata Silver Shimmer for the details.  The blue wash is created with Iceberg ink.

This one is Arctic Mountain, Icy Water and Delicata Silver Shimmer.
