Quick Set Of Cards Using A Free Gift From Concord & 9th

By | 09/16/2018

I really love when you place an order with a company and they send you a free gift with your order or give you free shipping.  Concord & 9th often includes a free gift with a qualifying purchase of $60.

The current promotion is for a free Holly Jolly Banner Die set that will be perfect for holiday projects and cards.

A couple of months ago, the free gift was a set of 20 Dip-Dyed Envelopes and Cards and I finally made a quick set of 20 thank you cards to take to my classroom.  It’s so handy to have a set of cards I can pull out and use when I need them at work.

I loved these dip-dyed cards and I felt like they were calling for graphic designs.  These were so quick and easy to make because I kept them simple and the background was already done for me.

I used several C9 stamp sets for these cards and I couldn’t resist adding the shiny metallic touch of embossing on some of them.

For the blue set, I used the Wildflower stamp set and sentiments from the Beautiful Branches stamp set.  The Wildflower stamp set just looked so nice stamped in black ink that I chose to leave it just like that. I loved the big graphic florals with the silver embossed sentiment.  Simple and quick.

For the green cards, I used the Lace Leaf stamp set for the sentiment and images.  I LOVE that giant lacey leaf and I really loved it embossed in gold embossing powder.

The yellow cards used the image and sentiment from the Give Thanks stamp set.  I love that script thanks.  It’s big and bold and the script is so pretty.  I used Catherine Pooler inks on this one because her colors are so vibrant and that Mandarin Spice paired with the Icing on the Cake really looks like fall on the yellow card base.

Finally for the orange set, I used the new Thankful Leaves Turnabout stamp set with no turns.  I love how pretty this set of falling leaves looks just stamped in black ink on that dip-dyed background.  The sentiment is embossed in silver and came from the turnabout set.

I now have 20 thank you cards that are very colorful and they have coordinating envelopes:

I made 20 cards in less than an hour and my desk is re-stocked with thank you cards all ready to go.

While this set of cards is no longer a free gift, it is available for purchase as are all the stamp sets that I used.  I am adding the links below so you can check everything out in their store.

While you are browsing make sure to check out what’s new because they released their holiday stamps and dies last week and they are fabulous.  There are 2 new turnabout stamps and a great plaid set that will double as pretty card and scrapbook page borders.  Many of the dies will work as stand alone sets without the stamps as well.  I love that because I will be able to get them doing double duty.

I am stretching my crafting dollars every single time I use a stamp or die set in a way it wasn’t designed to be used for.  But I do love looking for the possibilities every time I get a new stamp or die to see what else it can do for me.
