Enabler Alert: Scrappy Tails Crafts is having a Labor Day Sale! 20% off your purchases until September 6, 2021!
I created a tag a couple of days ago for my Scrapping 4 Fun challenge team. It was an anything goes challenge with Washi tape. I created a Christmas gift tag using wide Washi tape and I loved it.
I decided to create a couple more of the tags and create a video to share my process with you.
Aren’t these images fabulous? These are from the beautiful Cardinal Blessing stamp set.
The other detail that I love about these tags is the Assorted Christmas Leaves die pine boughs and bare branches. These fill in spaces on your project and give a rustic holiday feel that I love.
This was the original card. You can see the wide Washi tape that I used on the bottom of the card. This gives a festive metallic shine to the project. I also used my Color Hive Telephone Box ink to give a bright pop of color to the manilla tag and then added layers of splatter for texture.
Here is the same bird house using Color Hive Everglades green ink for the tag. I wish I had heat embossing to the sentiment so that it popped off the tag more. That deep green is fabulous, but the sentiment is getting lost! Maybe a gold embossing or even white.
This tag uses one of the other images in the stamp set. I just love these mailbox images. The stamp set has several cardinal images as well. You will get a peek of those in my video below!
