This month’s Star Stampz Challenge is a Happy Birthday Challenge!
These are digital stamps that you can purchase on Etsy. I really enjoy using digital stamps. I like to purchase them and use them immediately. When I feel like creating something, it is fun to browse through digital stamps so you can download your purchase and create right away.
I always open a Word document and insert my digital stamp. Here I added the sentiment with a fun font and centered it over the image. I resized everything so I could die cut it out with a rectangular die and just add it to my card front. I used my Copic markers to color it in, added some ink along the edge and added a few pretty pearls to embellish the card.
The background is a scrap of pretty paper I pulled out of my scrap bin and that was that! So simple and so satisfying!

When I first browsed this shop, I was worried about how detailed the digis seemed. I thought they might be above my coloring ability. I tried them anyway and fell in love. The details that the artist adds enhance the coloring you add. If you browse the images the rest of the design team created, you will see that some people use watercolor techniques, some use pencil techniques, and some use maker techniques. You aren’t limited to just coloring with markers!
Plus, if you don’t like how it first turns out…reprint it and try again! I love that about digis. It’s cheap and easy to redo an image you didn’t get just right!
