Three Room Studio Saturday Challenge: Sketch

It’s time for the Three Room Studio Saturday Challenge! This week is a sketch challenge with a choice between two sketches!

This card is a bit of a departure for me. I used a bit of grunge and a color combination that is not one of my go-to combinations.

I was experimenting! For some reason when I saw this sketch, it made me feel like doing something I don’t usually do.

I masked off the edges of the card and ink blended on some Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink. I let it dry and then added touches of a stencil for some interest.

To complete the sketch, I created my focal image in the circle using the cat image from the Moving Sentiments stamp set and several images from the One More Chapter stamp set.

I created a little scene and cut it out with my stitched circle die set. I didn’t just want to put a plain piece of cardstock or patterned paper behind the focal element, so I decided on a bookmark with my sentiment.

I don’t know about you, but my bookmarks get pretty raggedy. So, I grunged this one up by distressing the edges and adding some coffee cup circles using a jar lid.

The final touch is some gems to add some sparkle. Every card needs sparkle or shine!
