Try A Sketch Or Color Challenge

By | 04/01/2014

Try a sketch or color challenge to get your creativity flowing.  There are tons of design challenges all over the place.  I am participating in two challenges today.  One is a color challenge and the other is a sketch challenge.  It’s fun to see what you can do when someone else chooses the colors or the card layout.

I actually find it really challenging to use another person’s color combination choices.  This color challenge required Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Smokey Slate.  You can also select one neutral color.  I selected white.

The Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper is so beautiful.  That is in the Occasions catalog and it’s one of the prettiest papers that I think we’ve every had.  Every pattern in the package is gorgeous!

I also have to say that the Stippled Blossom stamp set is still one of my very favorites.  I love the two step stamping…one stamp for the background color and then one stamp for the top sketch image!

Here are the products that I used to complete my card.  They are all available online at mystampingstore.com!

The sketch is from this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge!

Here is a close up view of the two step Stippled Blossom.  It looks pretty with two different colors or with just one color layered on itself!

I hope you try your hand at a color or sketch challenge!

Kim – wow! I love the colour combination on this card – you have matched the stamped images perfectly with the DSP and the lighter areas of the stamped image really compliment the background. Terrific!
