Use Your Pretty Patterned Paper To Create Scene Cards

I have a very cute mini slimline Christmas card to share with you today.  I’ve used a fun die, some gorgeous patterned paper, and one sweet digital stamp.

Mini Slimline Christmas Card

I loved this sweet Christmas Train digital stamp from Kinda Cute by Patricia.  It was quick and easy to color.  I fussy cut it out with my Brother Scan-n-Cut which made that super easy to do!

I recently purchased the Made by Elves 6 x 6″ patterned paper pad from the Craft Consortium.  The paper is stunning!  One sheet had 3 slim background images of various Christmas village scenes.  I selected one and added some snowbanks that I cut out of white cardstock and shaded with my Copic markers.

I stacked the village scene and two sets of snowbanks on a piece of white cardstock to hold them in place. I then die cut them with the Scalloped Edge Mini Slimline Dies from Trinity Stamps.

I popped the train up on foam tape and added it to the scene.  The entire panel was then added to a card base cut at 6 x 6″ and folded at 3″.

Copic Combinations:

Reds:  R 39, 37, 35, 24, 21

Greens: G 19, 16, 14, 12

Blues: B 39, 34, 01

Yellow Y 19, 13

Grays: W 10, 08, 06, 04, 02

Snow: BV 000, C1

I did have to run my die through the machine about 4 times to cut through 3 layers of the papers I layered together to create my scene.

Isn’t this patterned paper pretty?

I think it makes a fabulous background for this sweet train!
