Using A Sketch and Creating Your Own Ephemera + Free Sketch!

I have really been enjoying the scrapbook workshop kits that I have purchased from Close To My Heart. I have been playing with the Now & Forever Scrapbook Workshop Kit. I got the kit with the stamp and thin cuts set included and I’m so happy that I did that!

I’ve made a ton of my own ephemera and I’m loving the way all my pages turned out!

I’m sharing 3 pages with you today and I have a video for the double page layout, along with sketches that you can print below!

I almost never feel like I have enough ephemera in any kit that I use! Happily, there is a stamp and thin cuts die set available in one of the kit options. Needless to say, I spent a couple pleasant hours stamping and die cutting extra pieces that I could use on my layouts.

I really loved the papers in this kit.

This deep red with the little white hearts was my absolute favorite. I had half a sheet left over after making my single page layout.

The workshop kits always come with a printable PDF file full of layouts and cutting diagrams to create several double page layouts and at least one single page layout.

This page was created using the single page layout as my inspiration. I thought it was so pretty! I did add a different title and changed the ephemera pieces a bit, but the basic layout inspiration came from the instructions.

I created a sketch to go along with the layout. I’m trying to create sketches with all my layouts so that I can print and bind them for future inspiration when I need it!

With the scraps that I had leftover, I created a double page layout.

Since the pattern on the paper is directional and it need to be place vertically, I thought it would be great to cut my leftover piece on the diagonal so I could get two layouts out of what I had left.

On this page, I used a combination of stickers, gold glitter gems, patterned paper pieces fussy cut out, one embroidery flower sticker and several stamped and die cut images that I made myself.

I also added some ballerina pink hearts that I stamped directly onto my base page. I love the final result!!

My next layout uses the other half of the diagonally cut piece of leftover paper.
