Wonderful You

If you are looking to make a very quick and simple card with very few materials, this is it!!  I just love the Floral District Designer Series Paper.  The most difficult part of making this card was deciding which two papers to use!  I simply used a strip of each of the two papers I selected, used snail to adhere them, trimmed them to line up with the side of the card, stamped my image and added a little bling!  Done.  Less than 10 minutes!  You can make several of these with different sentiments to have on hand when you need a card fast.  I like to keep several in my desk at work.  There always seems to be a reason to give a card to someone at work!  I truly love the Loving Thoughts sentiment set.  It’s not your ordinary holiday sentiment set.  It’s uplifting and inspiring!  Who wouldn’t want to receive a card that exclaims “Wonderful You”?  That would certainly brighten my day!

Tips to making a quick and simple card:

  • Stick with two papers from a coordinating set that have similar colors.  An expert designed the papers to match and to be used together, why not trust their expertise?
  • I didn’t stress over the width of the strips.  I simply cut a strip of each paper that looked about the same width.  Keep it simple and don’t overthink it!
  • Match your ink color to one of the less dominant colors in your paper.  I used gumball green because it matched the green in the middle strip.
  • A little bling never hurt any card!

Stamp set: LovingThoughts   Paper: white card stock, two pieces from DSP Floral District  Ink: Gumball Green   Accessories: Rhinestones, snail, paper snips, paper trimmer.

Thank you for visiting!

Happy stamping!
