2 For 1 Easy Inlaid Die Cutting Technique With NEW Kat Scrappiness Smooches Cover Die

You can see my card and video here today. I created two cards with an inlaid die cutting technique that I absolutely love.

I used an inlaid die cutting technique so that I could get two cards for the effort of one! I began by die cutting out the Smooches Cover Die once in red and once in pink.

Then I added each one to a card base that I had cut at 4-1/4 x 11″ and scored and folded at 5-1/2″. I used liquid glue and a nice pair of reverse tweezers to add the pink lips to the red panel and the red lips to the pink panel. I love how pretty this color combination is!

This cover die has some fabulous stitched detail around the edges and within on the stitched hearts embossed on the card panel. I love how much texture the stitched detail adds to the card! It’s effortless! Remember the days of creating your own paper piercing details with a template and a craft pick? It was so much work!

I could not resist using the Valentine’s Quokka stamp set to add a sweet little critter detail. I have absolutely fallen in love with these adorable critters.

You will notice that this panel has a white border. My paper slipped when I was die cutting it so I ended up trimming it down 1/8″ around each edge. I lost the stitched border, but I do like the white border here as well.

I finished off both cards with some Taffy Pink Pearls from one of the new embellishment mixes from Kat Scrappiness. I LOVE this new release and you will see more of the products in the days to come!!!
