I’ve been working my way through Stampin’ Up!s Artisan Embellishment kit. I’ve been looking at the great resin flowers and buttons that were included in the kit, knowing that they would make spectacular clip toppers.
I bravely used a hot glue gun to attach each button or flower to the top of several different clips. I used a 3/4″ circle punch with scrap paper to back them so they would look good from both sides. I really love the clear faceted button backed with Primrose Petal paper and a giant pearl added to the center.
I also used the Primrose Petal button on a larger binder clip that can act as a place card holder. The inspirational calendar page that it is holding was just thrown together from the scraps of projects in my scrap box. None of the elements particularly go together, but I wanted to show you how the clip works to hold something on your desk!
This binder clip will look pretty when I cover it with DSP and add some ribbon to finish it off. I did add a rhinestone to the center with an extra glue dot. I really like these clips and I was happy with the way I used these elements from the Artisan Embellishment kit. One piece of lace to go and I’ve used that entire kit! I have really created quite a few fabulous projects with the kit.
Considering that I felt like the kit was out of my comfort zone, I am excited about all of the different ways I used the pieces. The kit has a very Vintage feel, and while I may be approaching vintage myself, it is not my decorating or design style by nature. (My kids may disagree!)
I also used My Digital Studio to create a postcard as well. Just for fun of course!
I hope that you can tolerate one more picture. This one shows all of the projects. I wanted you to see the notebook that I covered with a leftover piece of DSP and some ribbon. There are so many things that you can do with those leftover scraps of paper!
The Artisan Embellishment Kit (#129328) is in the Spring Mini and is only available until March 22.
