Here Is An Easy Way To Use Your Patterned Paper Stash + Free Cutting Templates and Card Sketches

Do you have a pile of patterned paper filling you shelves? Have you been trying to figure out a way to use it all?

You get a FREE PDF with a cutting template for 6 sheets of 6 x 6″ patterned paper plus card sketches that coordinate with the template to create 15 or 16 cards in one sitting!

And…you can win prizes by posting your 15 cards on Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube and using #Kendrascardchallenge2.

Here are my cards:

I started by cutting my 6 pieces of 6 x 6″ patterned paper from Whimsy Stamps using the cutting templates. I was careful to make 6 separate piles, one for each piece of paper.

I created about 20 card bases, some horizontal and some vertical. I selected a small stamp set called Flower Pop which I got free from Altenew for their 7th Anniversary. I also selected an encouragement sentiment set from Stamping bella, a set of Simple Sayings Birthday cut apart sentiments from Maker Forte, and 3 die sets from my stash. I also used a couple of old punches and 2 sheets of deep purple card stock.

Once I had all the paper cut and my supplies gathered, I used the cutting template and the card sketch sheets which are color coded and I pulled out the pieces from each paper that I needed for each card sketch. I made a pile of these and placed each set with a card base.

Then it was simply a matter of putting the cards together and adding any stamping, sentiments and embellishments that I wanted.

Instructions:

To enter the Quarterly Card Challenge, download the free PDF file that contains cutting templates for 6 sheets of paper and 15 different card sketches. Create your own cards using the templates and your choice of patterned paper. They can be any color and any theme using any sentiments you’d like but you must use the PDF templates for your cards.

Upload pictures of your card creations on social media and use the hashtag #KendrasCardChallenge2 (on Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube) so I can find your entries. For some reason, Pinterest will not allow me to see entries with the hashtag unless they are sent to me as a message, so if Pinterest is the only social media account you have, make sure you do that. One set of 15 cards counts as 1 entry. You can enter up to 3 times per challenge. After the challenge ends (June 30, 2021), Kendra will gather all of the entries and randomly select the three winners using the random name picker from commentpicker.com. She will announce the winners on my (Kendra’s) YouTube Channel within 2 weeks of the contest end, so make sure you’re a subscriber! The winners and their contest entries will also be posted to the challenge page.

This will help to get your work noticed and grow your social media channels!

You are welcome to use the creations you make using my PDF template to enter other challenges or contests, I just ask that you reference Kendra’s Card Challenges in your post or link to this page to give credit for the initial inspiration.

The next card making challenge will begin July 31, 2021 and end September 30, 2021. It will be another PDF download with a different set of cutting templates and card sketches. More details to follow.
