The theme for this months scrapbook Challenge YOUrself is to create a sports themed layout.
Remember that YOU have to be in a photo on the layout!
For my layout, I used the Close To My Heart Flower Shoppe scrapbook kit.
This kit came with a fabulous variety of patterned papers, lots of great embellishments, and a nice variety of cardstock background colors! I did purchase the coordinating stamp and thin cuts set as well.
I had three small scraps left in these paper and found some inspiring layouts on Pinterest that I used to create this sketch.
This was inspired by a PageMaps sketch that I modified to work with the scraps and embellishments that I have in my stash.
I was drawn to the scallop detail and the use of a branding strip to anchor my photos, embellishments, and title.
I also did some stamping on my layout. I used the Background Elements stamp set to create some splatter on my layout with Honey Butter ink. I layered two pieces of patterned paper behind my photos. This is actually one paper. I just used both patterns of the double sided paper!
You can see the variety of embellishments that are available in this collection. There are acrylic pieces, heavy weight sapphire blue die cuts and wood veneer die cuts. There is also a sheet of stickers that coordinates with this collection as well.
I find it hard to limit myself when I have so much fun stuff in my stash to create layouts that I love!
