I used the fabulous Cozy Up scrapbooking workshop kit from Close To My Heart to create several double page layouts. In today’s share, I used a sketch from the Stuck?! Sketchbook on Pinterest to force myself to keep lots of white space on my layout.
The sketch also forced me to edit down my embellishments. My new goal is to be more frugal with the embellishments that come in a scrapbook collection. I can’t use them all on one layout!
I used a sketch that came from 2014 and had some strips of patterned paper in it. This kit came with an entire die cut sheet of patterned strips of paper.
You can see that I used them below the focal images and above them as well.
I love how the ephemera clusters are diagonal across the focal images on this layout. The entire layout concentrates the decorations around those focal images drawing your gaze directly to the pictures.
You can see that I have lots of empty space all around the page and I did manage to keep my ephemera to a minimum!
I love the gorgeous colors in this kit. The sticker sheet had gorgeous images and lots of title opportunities.
This set is available in the seasonal catalog until the end of August or until supplies last. If you want it, grab it while it is available!
