There is a new sketch challenge for theAtlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge this week.
For this challenge, I wanted to do a little watercoloring with my watercolor pencils. I used the new Amber Autumn stamp set from Stampin’ Up!.
I stamped my image in StazOn ink and the added color with my watercolor pencils. I used my blender pen to smooth out the watercolor and add a little shading to the image.
I love the fall colors I used here. I’ve used Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry card stocks to create the layers for my card. I used the Stylish Shapes dies to create the lovely stitched detail around the square as well.
If you haven’t tried the watercolor pencils, definitely give them a try. They are one of the most cost effective tools you can use to add color to your images.
