Today was bitty day for me! I used Stampin’ Up!s Bitty Butterfly Punch, the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and then the Bitty Banners Framelits to make my card today! I have to say, it was more than a bitty fun!
This is another fun card layout from my Design Team friends at Paper Craft Crew! I loved the sketch last week and this one was really fun. It was also inspired by a card I pinned on Pinterest at least a year ago! I finally used it to inspire today’s card. I started with the sketch from the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge and with the punch idea as my inspiration, created my own blended version of the two!
This is sketch challenge 31 this week and here is the starting point:
I really love starting a card with a sketch and an idea. There are so many places to get our inspiration from. I have a board on my Pinterest site that I call “Color Inspiration” and I’m pinning pictures with stunning colors. Some of them are fashion, but most are pictures of nature in some form. It’s amazing the color inspiration you can get from one flower or one bird.
The sketches really stretch your design skills. I have found that so many times the sketch will be something I might never have imagined. I feel like the sketches keep me from getting into a design rut. I also have a board on Pinterest just for card sketches and one for scrapbook sketches. On days where I’m feeling a little stuck for my card design, that is a great place to look for inspiration!!!!
I encourage you to start your own sketch boards on Pinterest. Then, when you need a little inspiration, you have it pinned on your board. You should challenge yourself to make something that you pinned this week! It will give you a fresh idea for your bag of stamping tricks!
