A Day Late and a Dollar Short!

By | 03/27/2013

Somehow this week, I lost a day!  I’m not sure whether it’s due to the fact that I have a bad cold or that I worked Monday and then I’m off the rest of the week.   Whatever it is, I just haven’t been connecting on all cylinders!  I totally forgot that today’s post was supposed to be my Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge!

youaremysunshineIt may be a day late, but I really loved this sketch!  It was an easy one to do.  I couldn’t resist using You are my Sunshine from the single stamp sale that Stampin’ Up! is having.  I love this stamp.  As you can see, I colored it in several colors using my stampin’ write marker set.

The card is built on a whisper white base cut at 4-1/4 x 11 and scored at 5-1/2″.  The daffodil delight mat is cut at 4 x 5-1/4″ and it is topped with two pieces of tangerine tango dsp cut at 2 x 3-1/2″.  I trimmed the white stamped image and made a daffodil delight mat about 1/8″ larger all around.  I finished off the card with the designer build a brad stamped with an Itty Bitty Bits flower stamped in daffodil delight.  The ribbon is pacific point.  The colors just scream “Sunshine!”.

Here is the original sketch from the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge for the week.  You can find the challenge up all week and you can submit a card to the challenge until next Tuesday!  It’s really fun to participate!  Occasionally we give blog candy, you get a link to your page from your submission and if you participate a lot you could be invited to be a guest designer or featured artist!!!

papercraftcrew35Thank you for visiting today!!!

Be creative!
