A Quick And Easy Card For Thanksgiving

By | 10/28/2020

Some days you just want to create a quick and easy card!  I have one for you.  It will take less than 10 minutes once you gather your supplies.

I used this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch:

My card consists of a watercolor wash background with splatter, a gnome fussy cut from patterned paper, a strip of patterned paper, a stamped sentiment and some embellishments.

To  make that watercolor wash background, I simply swiped my Carved Pumpkin distress oxide on my craft mat, spritzed it generously with water, then used a large round paint brush to pick up the watered down ink and swipe it on the card.  Then I tapped the brush on my finger to create some splatters and did the same thing with black ink to create a few splatters.

I used a 6 x 6″ piece of Photoplay Gnome for the Holidays Thanksgiving patterned paper with a couple of paper strips and cut aparts.  I fussy cut the gnome out of one of the 3 x 4″ cards and cut down one of the paper strips.  After attaching the paper strip directly to the card front, I popped the gnome up on foam tape.

I added the sentiment from the Create and Inkspire October Card Kit with Altenew black ink.  My final touch was to add 3 orange embellishments from my stash to complete the card.

Quick and simple!
