It’s never too early to build your holiday card stash! Creating just a couple of holiday cards a week for the next 12 weeks can help to make your festivities more relaxing when November and December get here!
This is holiday card #1 for me! I kept it simple and used Catherine Pooler’s new Peeking Pets stamp set. It was just too cute not to use. The stamp set has a variety of cats and dogs and different hats for different festivities throughout the year. I loved this little dog because I had a black dachshund for 15 years and he was my buddy! He was devoted to me and I swear he had the most amazing sense of humor.
I just wanted a clean and simple one layer card. I used my new Winsor & Newton 0.5 journaling pen to draw the lines around the edge. I aspire to make them straight, but alas, even with a ruler it is never going to happen. I took a fun 1 hour drawing class at Brit & Co. and the instructor said to just draw two quick lines around the square and it won’t matter that they aren’t straight. That’s what I always do and I love the result.
I used my Altenew Artist Markers to color the little guy in:
Face: TG02,03,05,07
Hat: R335, 318, 304,302
Hat Trim: WG01,03 and C002
Splatter: Altenew Dusk Ink Spray
Clear Drop: Studio Katia
The sentiment is from the Taylored Expressions Mini Strips Holiday sentiments set and die set.
