I love an Anything Goes challenge! Doing anything I want makes me happy!
This month’s Challenge YOUrself scrapbook challenge is an anything goes challenge!
I decided to use my December 1st layout in my December Daily notebook for my anything goes layout for this month.
I’m helping my daughter and her husband out with their newborn while they both have to work. I get to snuggle the baby all day while they have to work. Not a bad gig! My grandma name is going to be Gigi and I’m already loving having the opportunity to snuggle this sweet baby for a few weeks. I’m staying in an Air BNB around the corner and showing up when they need me.
I have to say, there is nothing more relaxing than rocking a baby!
For this project, I used a craft notebook that is a slightly wider version of a traveler’s notebook. I bought a set of these over the summer from Amazon during their Prime Day deals. I’m so happy I did that. I use 1 or 2 each month to document my days.
I saved the Reindeer Memories Scrapbooking Workshop Kit from Stampin’ Up! just for this project. I also purchased the Reindeer Fun bundle with the papers, stamps and dies, Memory and More cards, embellishments, embossing folder, and twine.
I felt like the combination of these two bundles would be plenty of materials for a 30-day daily project! I can make extra ephemera bits with the stamp and die set. There are also stickers in the Memories and More cards as well.
Here is my layout sketch that I created to start with:
I loved this piece of Pool Party DSP that serves as a backdrop to the second page. The flip side is that fabulous Real Red jingle bell tone-on-tone paper. I added some stickers from the Memories and More card set and a few of the peppermint embellishments.
I also used the snow stamp to create a background to my title. I stamped this in Pool Party ink to coordinate with the other page. My title is stamped in Real Red, Pool Party, and Garden Green.
The blue piece is a sneak peek at a punch that is coming out in January. I LOVE it! I cut it in half and saved the other half for another layout.
One of the things I like about doing these little notebook layouts is that it allows me the opportunity to use all my stamping supplies in yet another way. I’ve done some stamping, I used a punch, and I created a memory keeping layout. It’s a nice change from a card or a 12 x 12″ scrapbook layout. It’s also a fairly quick project to do each day and I’m documenting things that are going on in my life or in the world around me.
We would love to have you join us for this challenge! It lasts all month and you can make any kind of layout you want. You can upload your photo of your project to the featured post on the Challenge YOUrself Facebook page. You can also see details and upload it on the blog here if you prefer. You can post it on one of your social media accounts and link it to the blog with the inLinkz tool by creating a free account there.
