This month’s challenge for the Challenge YOUrself scrapbook challenge is an anything goes challenge.  You choose the theme and the layout!

The only rule is that YOU have to be in the photo!  You can create any size layout!

I created a layout of a family dinner with my daughter and her beau in our new little house.  Challenge YOUrself Anything Goes Scrapbook Layout Challenge

I really combine a lot of different products from different companies on this one!

The papers came from a Simple Stories set called Heart. I think I got it on clearance last February when I shopped at an actual craft store. I noticed the colors were quite muted and the sentiments were different.  Halfway through the layout, I realized the collection was for creating layouts for people no longer with us.

I loved the papers, so I just pulled out coordinating ephemera and chipboard pieces from my stash.  I used some left over stuff from my Hip Kit Club from last month.  I used all the paper, but I still had ephemera and a set of wood frames.

The puffy title phrases are from 2 different sets of thickers from American crafts.  Here you can see the wood frame I used from The Avenue collection by Jen Hadfield.  All the die cut pieces are from Pinkfresh Studios.  The chipboard is from Maggie Holmes, I believe.

I also added two blue picture labels or tabs from Elle’s Studio.

Here you can see that I used some Antique Gold ink spray to add a little more gold to the background.  I did that first and let it dry before adding my stuff to the page.

This ephemera cluster has a great stitched piece from the Pinkfresh Days of Splendor set that the die cuts are from.

The birds were significant because we saw a lot of shore birds and pelicans during this visit with the kids.  They went kayaking with my husband several times and got to see a lot of flora and fauna of the region!

I really love the set of labels and tabs that I got from Elle’s Studio.  I thought they had a fantastic selection of bits you could add to your layouts.  I’ll be adding the date to this label.

I used a cut apart from the Hearts paper collection and some scraps to add to the upper corner of the page.  I will use this as my journaling box for the event.  Although, I do have a lot to say!  I have other photos to scrap and I will add more of the story to those layouts as well.  I will just tell the story of this meal on this layout.

We would love to have you join us at Challenge YOUrself this month.  You can see me in the photo…I’m hard to miss these days!

I’m so enjoying creating the scrapbook layouts.  I have a lot of photos with me that need scrapping, so I will be keeping busy creating albums this winter!!

Thank you for stopping by!  Make sure you sign up for my newsletter while you are here!

Have a fantastic day and be well!
