I love this month’s Challenge YOUrself scrapbook challenge theme!
I love that this challenge requires me to use photos of myself. I also love that now this theme is asking me to share something I do to take care of myself.
The most important thing that I do is to take a walk every morning before I do anything else! My husband goes with me unless he’s out fishing.
I enjoy the walks with him because he actually chats the entire walk. It’s a pleasant way for the two of us to start the day and that 30-60 minutes of activity for the day is keeping us healthy.
I enjoyed making this layout. I started with a doily mask. I added some colors of distress oxide ink that would match the papers that I used from this month’s Hip Kit Club kit. The colors are lovely and the ephemera and acetate pieces in the kit worked beautifully with the doily stencil.
I created a diagonal layout and gave each corner 2 small ephemera clusters. I left a lot of white space this time!
My goal is to leave white space! I’m so proud of myself…I actually did it this time!
I actually did some ink smooshing, stenciling and ink splatters in the upper left corner and the lower right corner.
I added my pretty papers askew from each other and built my ephemera clusters using the die cuts, sentiment strips, and acetate doily pieces from the kit.
I added some gold puffy hearts and some beautiful sequins from my stash to finish off the page.
The title came from the two sets of alphabet stickers included in the layout kit and the pocket page kit.
