It’s time for the November scrapbook layout challenge on the Challenge YOUrself blog!
I really enjoyed this challenge. You know that I love to stamp in my scrapbooks!! I had a blast pulling out some pretty florals and creating a fun layout with one of my favorite pictures of me!
One of my students snapped a picture of me just as somebody made me laugh! I have no idea the exact year this was taken, but I clearly remember the students in my room after school that day! This is one of my teacher moments!
I used a beautiful piece of 12 x 12″ patterned paper from Pinkfresh Studio’s The Best Day collection!
It had the cream border, the soft blue polka dot, the cream circle and some florals in the lower right edge of the circle.
I loved everything about this paper. I pulled out my Wallpaper Art stamp set from Altenew and created the pink and yellow florals along with some blue leaves.
I created my own die cuts to fill in the page and serve as my ephemera and I’m in love with the results!!
I stamped the cream circle in a splatter dot stamp in a light gray color to add some interest. Then I stamped, colored, and die cut out my floral pieces and layered them around the circle to create my ephemera clumps.
I love how my handmade die cuts enhance the florals that were already on this page. I pulled a few sentiments, thickers and enamel dots out of my stash to finish off my page.
Isn’t it amazing what you can do with a fabulous piece of patterned paper, some stamps and some ink?
I think the stamped pieces really make this a fabulous page.
