Create Your Own Patterned Paper For A Unique Card

By | 09/04/2018

Sometimes I want a card that is all my own.  I want it to look completely different from any other cards that I’ve seen.  Even though I’m using this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch challenge, I’ve created a card that is all mine.

How have I done that?

I created my own “patterned paper”.

Stamping Imperfection Golden Garden

I created my own patterned paper backgrounds using Altenew’s Golden Garden stamp set.  I used the Altenew Artist Markers to color in my  leaves in a simple loose way.  The floral is just a 2 step stamp.

The You script sentiment is from Catherine Pooler and it is layered on to white craft foam to give it dimension.  The rest of the greeting is from the Concord & 9th So Happy For You stamp set.  And of course, my favorite Studio Katia iridescent sequins.  I love how they look purple or blue in the light!

I used my favorite Altenew ink for the flowers:  Teal Cave.  There is not a prettier blue in all of the land.

This was a quick and simple card with a nice clean layout!

Here is the Paper Craft Crew sketch that I started with:

I’m also going to participate in the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge this week because I am using my favorite Studio Katia sequins and the challenge is all about sequins!

Thank you so much for joining me today!
