Flower Fair Simply Scrappin’ Layout 2!

By | 03/07/2013

Stampin’ Up!s Flower Fair Simply Scrappin’ kit is making my life easier!  I feel like I’m creating scrapbook layouts in just minutes with everything I need in this one convenient kit.

simplyscrappin'I made a two page layout by starting with a great scrapbook layout sketch.  You may recognize this layout!  I used it in 4 other scrapbook pages I created last month.  Click here to see the pages using new products and click here to see the MDS version I made with the MDS Discs in the Spring Catalog!  The scrapbook layout is from my Design Team at Paper Craft Crew. Once a month, we have a scrapbook sketch challenge!

pccc30This is the sketch that I started with.  This time the only thing I added that wasn’t included in the kit was the Calypso Coral Baker’s Twine that I got with the Sent with Love Bundle I received a few days ago.  I really like the Stampin’ Up! Baker’s Twine.  It’s actually not a giant cord type twine like the stuff I have purchased previously from other places.  This is a smaller diameter and more delicate looking twine.  I like it much better than the giant cord type twine that I’ve used in the past.  It ties easier and adds a subtle touch to projects.

I’ve already got baker’s twine in all colors and another Flower Fair Simply Scrappin’ kit on my wishlist for my next order.  I’m telling you, that list grows by the day.  You can be certain that I will be placing my next order before March 22 when Sale-A-Bration ends.  I am loving getting free stuff!

simplyscrappinYou can see that I used the Daffodil Yellow card stock from the kit as the base of my page.  I added half a sheet of DSP from the kit and then cut 6 rectangles from the Garden Green card stock that is also included in the kit.  I added some of the sticker trim to the top and bottom of the layout, as well as a small journaling box and a jewelry tag with the buttons.  All of this is included in the kit!

I always try to make two pages that coordinate when I create scrapbook pages.  I really like to open a scrapbook and see two matching or coordinating pages.  I try to make them mirror images or each other, either horizontally or vertically!
