When you send your kids off to live on their own, you can only hope you’ve taught them everything they need to know. My son is living in a campus town house this year and he has a kitchen to cook in for the first time. As it turns out, he likes to cook for himself. Albeit, he’s making a lot of prepared chicken patties, scrambled eggs and pasta. It’s a start!
Like father like son. When I first met my husband, he was surviving on pizza, pasta and anything breaded or fried that could be thrown on a cookie sheet and baked in the oven. Seriously. These two men need me. I should say needed. My husband is a fabulous cook now and my son will learn. To help him along, I made him a set of recipe cards with his favorite recipes!
Mom to the rescue! He does still need me…for a bit! I made an effort to make it masculine, although I did color in the heart. What mom could resist?
I used a set of recipe cards from a clearance bin of course. Always the bargain hunter! Hey, you know they will be covered in spaghetti sauce soon enough!
