Let me ask you this: Are you ready to start your Christmas card making yet?!
I’m still enjoying the fall holiday card and projects that I’m making. I’m not sure I’m ready for any other holidays beyond fall!
I decided to participate in the Fab Friday challenge today. The card sketch looked like fun and I felt inspired by the sketch when I picked up the Suite Seasons sentiment stamp set and found a sentiment that I thought would be perfect for the giant circle in the center of the sketch. It’s a great focal point for a card!
You can see that the sentiment is the focal point of the card. I’ve stamped it in Garden Green, which I selected from the designer paper color list. I added three Cherry Cobbler enamel dots for a pop of color. I love those enamel dots! They look like wet paint and it’s a nice little touch for your card. (I do love my embellishments!)
I’ve added a wonderful plaid background from the Warmth and Cheer Designer Paper Stacks. I love these little paper stacks. You get so many cards, tags and other projects from one little pack of paper. It always amazes me when I see how far that paper stack actually goes!
I used the Layering Circles framelits to cut out my sentiment. I’ve used Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Garden Green card stock on this project. Not a ton of supplies and the card would be easy to mass produce. I also doesn’t have a lot of stuff that would be hard to mail and add to your postage costs.
Here is the Fab Friday Sketch that I started with:
It’s a great sketch. Clean, simple and fun. I only made two small changes as you can see. I tipped my top green mat a bit more than the sketch shows and I added the scalloped mat behind my sentiments. I love those layering circles because you can just get a peek of a contrasting color behind your circle with the scallops and that allows it to stand out just a little more.
