I like to create my scrapbooks with paper and ink, although I have a couple I made on the digital software and I was quite happy with how beautiful they came out. I’ve been playing with the software to make other things.

I created a journal that I ordered through Stampin’ Up!s printing service. I created the front and back cover design with the MDS software, selected the design of the first and last pages in the journal and they print and bind it with 80 lined pages. As soon as it arrives, I will post a picture of the actual journal. Here is the design I created:

For my second project, I decided to create an inspirational work of art that I could frame and hang in my art studio (okay, my craft space in the basement!). I’ve been so surprised by how much content comes with this program. It’s also quite intuitive to use. If you love your technology, you will love creating cards and books with this! Here is my second project:

I like it! Imagine what you could create to decorate your craft space, office or even your child’s room. This one I printed myself on my inkjet printer. It would really look like a purchased piece if I had printed it on photo paper.

My final MDS project for the day was to create an insert that I could use for the DVD cases Stampin’ Up! sells for clear stamps. I want to use it to hold my embellishments like pearls, rhinestones and google eyes. This was just printed on printer paper. Check this out:

These were quick and simple projects for a beginner. I haven’t done a single fancy thing yet. You can get as creative and as complex as you would like. Imagine the possibilities of things you could make. The gift ideas alone are endless!
