Love To Scrap June Anything Goes Challenge

By | 07/01/2022

I’m so excited to be joining the design team for the Love To Scrap Challenge Blog this month!

This is a scrapping challenge blog and it is an anything goes.  You can create cards, scrapbook layouts, altered items, 3-D projects…anything that uses leftover stuff!  There are 6 challenges a year and each challenge is about 6 weeks long.  This challenge goes live on July 1st and ends on the 15th of August.  Winners are randomly selected and the top picks are chosen on merit.

You can find challenge guidelines here.

I created a scrapbook layout because I really want to do more scrapbooking and this will give me a perfect excuse to sit down and create layouts!
Love to scrap challenge for June
I created this on Father’s Day.  This is a layout of my Dad building a deck on the little building that he built by the lake we lived on.  Here he is working on the deck and then taking a bit of a break in a nice chair on the deck!
We did a lot of fishing and ice skating as kids and spent time in the building keeping warm and playing games.  He finished off the loft so that it has a bathroom and space for 4 people to sleep.  We stayed there with our kids when we visited my parents.  My parents loved to have their coffee on the deck in the mornings once they retired.
My scrapbook layout uses lots of scrap colored cardstock.  The patterned paper and the yellow base paper is new as are the ephemera pieces.  The patterned paper and ephemera came in this month’s Not 2 Shabby monthly kit.  That had 2 packages of 6 x 6″ patterned paper, 3 stamp sets, an ephemera pack and a package of fun shaker elements.
I pulled out some green, yellow, and dark brown cardstock to create my photo backdrop.  I added some navy splatter and then I created 3 ephemera clusters.  I added some wooden buttons and hearts from my stash, some enamel dots, some sentiment strips, and some alpha sticky letters to create my title.
I love mixing a couple of new things with scraps and bits from my stash.
You can check out the Not 2 Shabby Shop.  This is my affiliate link that will take you there at no extra cost to you!  It lets the shop owner know that you liked what I made with their products enough to visit!

We would love to have you join us for the challenge this time around.  Make anything you want with scraps of crafty goodies from your stash!

Happy July!  Enjoy your summer crafting!

Your scrapbook layout is so cool. What a great reminder of the construction of the deck. Just stopping by to say hi from one of your new LTSCB teamies.
