National Scrapbook Day Mother’s Day Layout!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

In honor of National Scrapbook Day, I decided to create a Mother’s Day Layout.  I fell in love with the elegance of the Something Borrowed Designer Paper and Embellishments.  Combined with gold ribbon and gold embossing, I really love the effect.

Isn’t the Sahara Sand Lace Trim a nice touch with the Something Borrowed paper?  I also really like the gold ribbon, card stock and embossed images with this color combination.  The brushed gold card stock is one of the papers on the retiring list.  I’ll miss this paper!

Here are a couple of quick tip touches that I added to the pages:

• I used the clear block background stamping technique for the sentiment on the main page.
• I didn’t want the dictionary image with the Mother definition, so I covered it before inking my stamp so I just got the sentiment.
