I did it again! I looked at the sketch of the week on thePaper Craft Crew Challenge website and I just couldn’t resist creating a new card in a layout that I never would have thought of on my own! Here is the sketch for the week:
I had a lot of fun creating my card this week because I received my order from Stampin’ Up yesterday! I finally got some fun new Designer Series Paper called Be of Good Cheer. It was on sale during the Online Extravaganza. I chose to use a whimsical piece of DSP because I’ve been dying to put that Cherry Cobbler card stock with the Gumball Green. And of course I got the ribbon bundle that was on sale, so I had the matching Gumball Green Ribbon. Then I had to top it off with the red button from the Brights Buttons that were also on sale! I did use my old standby Delightful Decorations stamp set punched out with the ornament punch. I LOVE it when you can get a stamp set that has a punch that coordinates with it. It’s like all is right in the universe when there is a coordinating set of stamps and cutting tools. Anyway…here’s my card, all built on Very Vanilla card stock. As you can see, I embossed the Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green card stock pieces together in my (new!) Lacey Brocade Embossing Folder. Ahh…another great invention.
This card makes me happy. So do the other two I made tonight as well. I hope that you are crafting and enjoying the season! Please stop by the Paper Craft Crew Challenge website sometime between Wednesday and Friday to vote for your favorite. (In case you can’t decide, pick the one that looks like the picture above!)
