I’m on the Maker Forte blog today sharing two quick watercolored Mother’s Day cards.
I made this quick card using the Calming Cosmos stamp set, Celebrating All Mothers stamp set, and Whimsical Stripes stencil all from Maker Forte to create my first card. I did the watercoloring with Distress Oxides in ripe persimmon, barn door, fossilized amber, forest moss, and crushed olive.
The stripes are blended with the Galactic Stream ink from Altenew. I added some black and white splatters and did some water spritzing.
The second card uses the Easy Watercolor stamp set from Maker Forte using the same colors and spritzing them with water on the stamp before stamping.
I used 2 different stamps from the Easy Watercolor stamp set to add the color to the card. I let the ink dry before stamping the image and the sentiment. I also added some black and white splatters and Bittersweet Crown Jewel Gems.
