Slimline cards are one of the new trends in cardmaking and I have to admit, they are fun to make!
I love the scenes you can create when you have 8-1/2″ of space instead of 4 or 5-1/2″. It’s just fun to make them.
I have collected a few slimline products over the last few months. I have a couple of cute dies and a stencil or two. I don’t want to have a huge stash of these products, but it is nice to have a die set or two that you can use for your cards.
Today I’m creating a slimline card with the Farm Bundle Digital stamp set from Kinda Cute by Patricia!
This is actually my second attempt at coloring this scene. I liked this much better than my first attempt. I rescaled some of the images and moved things around on this one. Some of the wonderful things you can do when you are using digital images!
Here is my first attempt:
I just didn’t love this for some reason. My coloring was messy…I didn’t even touch up the lines when I was done. I will do that before I send it to someone. I will still use this card!
What can I say? It gave me an excuse to keep coloring and not do the cleaning!
I did add two images from the Cute Critters set…you can see the mouse and the barn owl. They are not part of the farm set. I just thought they were too cute not to add in here!
