This week’s Saturday Challenge at Three Room Studio has a circle theme.

One lucky participant in the September Saturday Challenges will win a $15 gift card to Three Room Studio Shop.

Saturday Challenge at Three Room Studio

I’ve been participating in more challenges and social media contests and I’ve won some prizes!!  Yesterday I found out I won a gift card to Connie Fong’s shop!  I also got a prize in the mail that I won from one of the Instagram contests.  This is the second Instagram prize I have received in September!

Let me get back to my card for the Saturday Challenge.  I digress and I am too easily distracted by craft goodies.

I couldn’t resist this image that Sandy shared yesterday of this adorable Hammerhead Shark.  You will find it in the Three Room Studio store today.

We had a small Hammerhead shark swimming around our dock last January.  Needless to say…I never dangle my toes in that water!  We’ve had other varieties of sharks and at least one water snake.  (We’ve also had cute things like Sea Horse!)

For this card, I ink blended Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch, and Chipped Sapphire distress oxides on to a slimline card front that measured 3-1/4 x 8-1/4″.

Then I placed the Peacock Feathers slimline stencil down on top of the ink blended panel and spritzed it generously with water.  I let it sit for about 30 seconds and blotted it dry.  When I lifted the stencil, I blotted the panel dry again.

I love the result!

I added some white splatter with white gouache mixed with water.  The shark is applied with foam tape.  I added some sequins for a little sparkle.

The sentiment comes from the Three Room Studio Simple Sentiments stamp set.  I love this sentiment set. It has some traditional sentiments and then some that fit any occasion and make you smile!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope I’ve inspired you to get crafty!
