Trick Or Treat With Stampin’ Up!

By | 09/03/2013

Stampin’ Up! has some really fun Halloween stamp sets and images, including this fun Trick or Treat image that coordinates with the new Label Bracket Punch.  The Trick or Treat image is from the Tags 4 You set.  This is a quick and easy way to create a sentiment and the focal point of your card all in one!

For this card, I started with a sketch and selected a designer paper to use on the card.  Once I selected the designer paper, I had my color palette to work with.  The sketch provided the layout and details.  I merely needed to select my sentiment/image and put it all together!

Card Details:

Papers:  Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Summer Starfruit card stock, Witches’ Brew Designer Series Paper.

Ink:  Tangerine Tango

Stamp Set:  Tags 4 You

Accessories:  Label Bracket Punch, Black 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Circle Punch, Candy Dots

I started with this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch.  When I first saw it, I wasn’t thrilled!  I have to say, once I picked out the designer paper it all came together.  The sketch has several great details.  You can see that I changed the shape of the top layer focal image from an oval to the Label Bracket shape.  I also used a stamp that was an image and a sentiment, eliminating the need for a sentiment below the central part of the card.  I replaced that with more candy dots.  I ended up enjoying this sketch and I will add it to my arsenal of sketch ideas!
