2021 finds me still pursuing my rekindled love of scrapbooking in many forms. I’m loving making mini albums and I have a quick and simple one to share with you today!
I created a sweet little mini album using a Star Stampz K-I-S-S-I-N-G Valentine’s Day image for the cover. I added some coordinating patterned papers I’ve had in my stash forever to create the covers and the inside pages. I also used a page of cut aparts and some label tags to add a little interest to the album.
The Star Stampz Challenge theme for February is a Love/Friendship/Romantic theme.
This is a great way to use up your leftover Valentine’s Day 6 x 6″ patterned papers. There is nothing more satisfying that finishing off a little paper pad with a great project.
How sweet is this little digital stamp? I just added a few clouds and some blades of grass to finish it off. It turned into a sweet little album that I can use as a gift or fill with photos!
To finish this off, I created a little tassel to attach to the ring holding the pages together. I braided some thin gold twine and used it to border my digital image that I colored with my Copics. I’ve added a little sentiment from the paper cut aparts included with the papers that I’ve had in my stash for years. I also added a wood heart and some sequins from my stash. I added 4 coordinating label tags that I have in my scrapping stash and some more cut apart sentiments.
Such a simple little project and these make fabulous gifts. I’m thinking ahead to Mother’s Day already and I’ll start collecting photos to go in the album that I will make Mom. These are the projects that we can put on the TV and just create while we watch a show! It is always a pleasant way to spend an afternoon or evening.
I love using up things in my stash. The only thing I added here was the digital image which is only three dollars. I have started to use more digital products because they fit into my craft budget more easily and I don’t have to use physical space to store them. I’m at a point where I’m trying to simplify my living space, so using stash and not adding to it is my jam these days. It’s still nice to get a new stamp or two and it’s easy to do with all the fabulous digital images available online these days.
