Have you tried the Pop Up Card Dies from Scrappy Tails Crafts yet?
They are pretty fun to play with and they make fabulous seasonal décor or place setting decorations in addition to being fun cards to create and send to someone special!
The new Scrapping4Fun Challenge is an Anything Goes Masculine Challenge.
Our sponsor for this challenge is Dies R Us.
I created a Pop Up Card using stamps, dies, and cut aparts from several of my favorite craft stores!
I’ve modified the Pop Up Basket Card die cuts that I made to create a smaller pop up card than the die actually makes. You die cut two of the basket panels and a handle. I die cut two basket panels and didn’t bother with the handle for this project. I also cut the last basket section off each panel that I cut so instead of ending up with a hexagon shape, I ended with a square.
I die cut my panels out of some specialty wood grain paper from Altenew that I’ve had in my stash for a while. I’m stingy with it, so I decided it was time to cave and use a piece for this project! I actually sponged on a light brown ink to make it look more like wood. It started out as a white wood grain panel.
I used Catherine Pooler’s newest release called Waves of Happiness to create the puffins and the seashells and crabs. The grasses are from the Scrappy Tails Crafts Spring Essentials die set, and the sentiment is one of Maker Forte’s All Seasons Sentiment papers that you cut apart.
I used one small bridge piece that I altered to make it shorter for my smaller basket. I also added several acetate sticks to hold up the puffins and the seashells so they sat up higher.
This is a nice close up view of what that wood grain paper looks like. I feel like it’s a nice special touch for a special project! You can also see how cute the little creatures are in this new Catherine Pooler stamp and die set.
Here you can see what it looks like flat. I just think this stamp set is adorable!!
I love these little pop up cards because you can tuck little critters in all over and really make them fun. I love the touch the grass die added. That is a nice set to have for filler pieces for cards and projects like this one.
I also love that with a small modification, my pop up basket card die can be turned into other shapes of pop up cards!!
