I hope your holiday season has been, and continues to be, joyful!
It’s the start of a new Challenge YOUrself scrapbook challenge! This month’s theme is black and white photos.
I used the October Hip Kit Club kit to create my layout. I absolutely loved the color scheme of this kit! It was less pastel than usual and had richer, deeper colors.
I’m definitely an autumn when it comes to selecting colors I love.
This is not the first time that I’ve used this photo on a layout. I just love this photo. My husband and I take a 30-45 minute walk every morning and we snapped a photo one morning when we got home. My husband is extremely photogenic. I don’t think that I’ve ever seen a bad photo of him!
Once again, you can see that I used some blue splatter and blue enamel dots to finish off my page. I also used a label and some tags that came in the kit. I really like the way this came out.
I actually edited down my ephemera. That’s going to be one of my scrapbook goals going forward. I really love lots of layers of ephemera, but alas, I need my albums to close when I’m finished with them. Ephemera is bulky!
I know the trend that I’m seeing in scrapbooking is to create a layout with lots of empty space and lots of inking techniques. One photo layouts seem to be the thing these days as well.
I am doing a lot of single photo layouts just because I don’t have a ton of photos to scrap. I’m basically taking photos as I need them!
You can find the Hip Kit Club kits HERE!
We would also love to have you join us for the challenge! You can find the challenge HERE!
The challenge ends on January 4. Use a black and white photo and YOU need to be in the photo!
You can also make any size layout you want. There are lots of prizes given out throughout the month as well.
Thank you for stopping by!
