A Color Challenge!

The new Make The Cards Challenge is a Color Challenge for this week.

It’s also entitled Suit Up.  I do not have any stamps with a person wearing a suit of any kind, so I decided that I would just go with the color challenge.

This was a good challenge.  It has a masculine feel to it and the color palette is all neutrals.  The Puddle Play stamp set from Catherine Pooler was sitting next to me.  I just got it and I haven’t even put it away yet, so I decided that it was better to play with it first!

I used products from a few of my favorite companies here.  The Puddle Play from Catherine Pooler is actually from a release or two ago.  The bear and the sentiment came from that set.  I colored the bear in with Copics and stamped the sentiment in my new Color Hive Eclipse Black Ink from Maker Forte.  It’s my new go-to ink for when I want to use my alcohol markers.

The rain drops are from the Maker Forte Rainy Day stencil, which is probably one of my most used stencils!  I used the Nuvo Glacier Paste in Frostbite.  You can see the sparkle and sheen that gave me in the background.Make the Cards Color Challenge

My cardstock is from Simon Says Stamps and I used a set of stacking rectangle dies with a fun edge and a stitching detail on them from Kat Scrapiness.  I really like the dies I’ve purchased from Kat Scrapiness.

A few months ago, I won a prize in a blog hop for leaving comments on all the entries.  It was a $50 gift certificate to any company of my choice and I picked Kat Scrapiness because I wanted some new interesting dies!  This is one of the sets I selected and I’m so glad I got them.

I added a few sequins from Catherine Pooler’s Portsmouth Sequin Mix to finish off the card.
