“It’s A Girl Thing” Turner Syndrome Awareness Inaugural Blog Hop!

By | 02/01/2019

Welcome to my project for the “It’s A Girl Thing” Turner Syndrome Awareness Inaugural Blog Hop

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs in one in 2,500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!

Nineteen caring Sponsors and eleven DT Members have partnered with us to bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the Public. For details on how you might win any of these fabulous prizes, please see Lori’s TS home page. Thanks for learning About Turner Syndrome

My TS related project uses a few colors from the TS official color board:

Here is my card that I created for the blog hop:

stamping imperfection layered die techniques

This card is created from panels that I watercolored to match the colors from the Turner Syndrome official color board.

I die cut each panel with a different cover die from the Birch Press Dahlia set.

I layered them together and added them on top of a ink blended water distressed background for a very textured and layered effect.

The sentiment die is from Altenew and it is one of my favorites.

Hello cards are such a great addition to your card stash because they work for so many occasions.

Here is another view so you can see the layers:

Hi, Kimberly! Such a fantastic creation using the bright TS colors! I am especially drawn to your layered effect, because that’s what TS is all about – how one little thing goes awry in our bodies, and it produces layer upon layer of issues! It’s a marvelous card! Leaving you with wishes for a wonderful day.
    Smiles,
