Petite Posie Freebie Stamp Set

By | 05/07/2019

I know it’s been a while since I posted.  April and May are such busy months at school preparing all my students for the advanced placement tests. I feel burned out, I can’t even imagine how they are feeling.

There has been no time to play in my studio and that means no down time.

In the midst of all that is going on, my son decided to move to Ohio.  It’s 12 hours from where we live, but he is so ridiculously happy and excited that it has been contagious.  It was many loads of laundry and loading a U-Haul to get him ready to go.  We only had 7 days notice and BOOM!  He was on his own.

And now I have a guest room.  I spent the weekend cleaning it and decorating it and I’m so happy with how it turned out!  I’m finding the rainbows in the rain.

I have a quick and easy card share for you today using this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch.

I think this is a classic card layout that goes together quickly and always looks nice.C9 Freebie Stamp Set and Sketch Challenge

I used some pretty spring 6 x 6″ patterned paper that came in one of my recent Simon Says Stamp monthly kits.  I love the pattern and the colors.  I’ve used a pretty pink here so I could add some yellow and green for a pretty spring card.

The stamp set was a freebie that I got from Concord & 9th.  They always have a free stamp set with a qualifying order when they do their new release on the 9th of the month.  This one is the Petite Posie stamp set.

I think that I’ve told you before how much I love little stamp sets.  This has a nice tulip image and includes some smaller hearts and dots I could have used.  It also has 3 sentiments to select from.  I’m sending this to my mother so I selected the Love You banner and did it in a pink.

The inks are my Catherine Pooler Party Dress, Sauna and Eucalyptus.  3 of my favorite CP inks.

I’m so excited because she is coming out with 4 new colors tomorrow and I just ordered them today!

I have added some Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins and some Altenew and Darice washi tapes to add a metallic and sparkle touch.  The Wink of Stella that I added to the top of the stamped bits also gives it a nice sparkle.
