Unleash Your Inner Beast

How cute is this sentiment?  Unleash your inner beast!

I purchased this stamp set from My Favorite Things (MFT) a while ago and I’ve been looking for an excuse to make a little card with it.  This is called Fierce Friends and it is really adorable.

My daughter just got a kitten from a shelter, so this seemed like the perfect time to use this adorable set.

I’ve used this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch to create the card.  It is a wonderful clean and simple design.  I LOVE the sketch!

I watercolored this little guy, the tree and the background.  I used my alcohol markers on the vellum which is cut from a free die that I got from Concord & 9th a while ago.  This little free die has quite a variety of pieces and can be used in a number of ways.  I just added a touch of pink color to the inner piece and separated the outer heart and tilted it on top.  I was going for subtle background colors, using a blue wash on the card front.

Aren’t those sequins a pretty mix?  That is called the Enchanting Mix from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards.

I loved the heart and decided to keep that element as it conveyed the kitty love.  I wanted to keep it subtle, so I used vellum and gave it a soft pink wash of color on the back.

I stamped my sentiment twice using my MISTI tool.  I truly love that tool.  My sentiments are so much darker and crisper now that I’ve gotten into the habit of using the MISTI which allows me to stamp my sentiment multiple times to get that dark, crisp look.   I think that detail makes a HUGE difference on a card.  It is a boutique detail!

My muse for this card was my daughter’s new kitten.  (Which thankfully, lives with her and not me!)  I’m sure she will enjoy the “little beast” and he will keep her company while she studies!

Have a wonderful day!  Please stop by and visit the Paper Craft Crew.  We would love to have you participate in our challenge.

Thank you for stopping by!
