I’m on The Hedgehog Hollow blog today with a video showing the process for making a traveler’s notebook layout using their May subscription kit box.
I was surprised by all the stuff that came in the May subscription box. I got 2 stamp sets, 2 stencils with both the stencil and the mask, 2 sets of foilable ephemera bits giving me 56 pieces in all, and a full sized Sugar Sparkle Eclipse black glitter.
Here you can see that I foiled 3 of the ephemera pieces with the Deco Foil Summer Rainbow foil. I stenciled the piano and inked the heart beat stamp (stamped twice to make it longer), in clear embossing ink so I could use the Mercury Kaleidoscope mica powder that I got in the March kit.
I stamped one of the sentiments from the kit as well in the Color Hive eclipse black ink.
I used the sketch from the April 2021 Traveler’s Notebook Challenge with Lisa and Lori to create my layout.
I am really finding that using sketches for now is really helping me keep design principles in mind and preserve white space on my layouts!
Here is a close up view of those foiled ephemera!
