I have a scrapbook layout to share with you from the Challenge YOUrself Scrapbook Challenge. The challenge is a color challenge this month!
I’m going to confess that I did throw some orange in and I used a deeper green. This color palette was a very soft palette and I’m more of a bold color person!
I used papers from a variety of paper stacks. The fabulous large word paper is from Simple Stories Fall Farmhouse and the smaller pieces are from the Pebbles Lovely Moments set. The rest are oldies from my stash!!! I’m using my stash up!
I’m so proud of myself!!
I’ve got some stickers from Pinkfresh, Tim Holtz, and My Happy Planner. I pulled ephemera from my stash as well. I added some thickers for the title and used some fibers on my page as well. I LOVE fibers on fall pages.
My favorite part of this whole page is that sentiment from Pinkfresh that says “beautiful memories from ordinary moments. This was the first morning walk that I had to wear a sweater and jeans since January!
I only had one ephemera clump on this layout and a small bit at the top of the page. It was hard to find things in my stash that didn’t all blend together. I added 4 bits of orange and that brightened things up!
I also threw in some wood veneers that have been in my stash for YEARS! I’m using my stash!!!
A little fun in the top corner, pulling in colors and elements from the rest of the page.
You can also see that I added gold and white splatter.
I also love this sentiment: Do what makes your soul happy. It’s hard to see in the photo. I’ve been doing things that make my soul happy for the last 10 months. I promise you that in the 31 years of teaching, I gave every bit of myself that there was to give and I was truly exhausted. Now my time is just for me and I’m filling my soul with walks, bike rides, time with my husband, and creative stuff for hours every single day!
I so appreciate that you stopped by today. Please leave a comment and let me know what you’ve been doing lately to make your soul happy!
Be well!
Super pretty LO!! Congrats

Thank you so much, Elisa!
